Chief Executive Officer
Henry Fleches is CEO of United Data Technologies Inc. (UDT), a leading national provider of technology solutions and managed services in the United States. He co-founded the company with Gerard Amaro in 1995 and is responsible for leading the organization’s strategy, fiscal performance and culture of delivering excellence to clients. During his tenure, he has helped transform the company from a value-added reseller to a diversified IT managed services business that assists companies and government agencies of all sizes. In the area of K-12 education, the firm is considered a pioneer and among the best in the country in helping schools transition to digital learning, and was named Intel’s Education Partner of the Year in 2014.
Under his leadership, UDT had sustained significant growth since the 2008 recession, multiplying its revenues by a factor of 5x and ending 2015 with $225 million in revenues (a 35% year-over-year growth). Over the past six years, the company has expanded to more than 14 locations in seven states. UDT’s success is attributed in part to Fleches’ ability to ensure that the company’s resources and ongoing investments are aligned with its customers’ changing needs and the creation of a relationship-based brand of IT which emphasizes helping individual clients reduce the risks, costs and complexities associated with technology.
As an active participant in the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Henry was instrumental in UDT becoming a founding member of the organization’s Hispanic Business Enterprise Program, and he was recognized with the USHCC’s prestigious Businessman of the Year Award in 2015. Henry was most recently named 2016 Executive of the Year by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce.
Fleches holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Florida International University and continues his professional development as an active member of Vistage International. In addition, he serves as the chair of HP’s Public Sector Advisory Council and is a member of Microsoft’s Global Education Partners Forum. Henry is active in many youth development programs and supports various children’s charities throughout South Florida, including the Breana Vergara Foundation, 12th Man Camp, March of Dimes, and local Boy Scouts.
Gerard Amaro is President and co-founder of United Data Technologies Inc. (UDT), Mr. Amaro has more than 20 years of experience at the head of UDT. He is responsible for managing the company’s sales force, including sales strategy, revenue generation, marketing, training, and development. He is passionate about exceeding customer expectations in all aspects of his business and values long-term client relationships above all else.
Amaro holds a bachelor’s in business administration from Florida International University’s College of Business, and serves on various advisory councils for technology companies including HP, Cisco and Intel. He is an active member of the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
Chief Financial Officer
James Cline is Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of United Data Technologies Inc. (UDT), before assuming his role in January 2009, Mr. Cline was CFO of Global Group Investment, an award-winning commercial real estate developer.
With more than 20 years of experience as a financial executive, Mr. Cline specializes in contract negotiation and business plan preparation. As CFO, he oversees all aspects of UDT’s financial functions, including financial reporting, accounting, treasury, and financial planning. He excels in hands-on management and improving operational efficiencies to maximize shareholder value. Mr. Cline was named CFO of the Year by the South Florida Business Journal in 2012.
Mr. Cline holds a bachelor’s degree in business marketing and management from the University of Texas at El Paso, and serves on the South Florida regional council for the Hispanic Business Initiative Fund as well as the finance subcommittee for the Jack and Jill Children’s Center in Ft. Lauderdale. He is an active member of the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and Vistage International.
Chief Technology Officer
Daniel Rodriguez is Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at United Data Technologies Inc. (UDT), Prior to joining UDT in October 2009, Mr. Rodriguez was CTO Global Alliances for 10 years at EMC, a worldwide provider of information technology as a service (ITaaS).
As CTO, he oversees all of UDT’s technical services and solutions. Mr. Rodriguez is dedicated to helping clients avoid risks and reduce the costs associated with implementing next-generation solutions.
Mr. Rodriguez holds degrees in computer science and management information systems from Miami Dade College and Florida International University.
Chief Information Officer of IT
Charles Grau is Chief Information Officer (CIO) of IT at United Data Technologies Inc. (UDT). He served as VP IT at AeroTurbine for five years.
With more than 15 years of executive experience, Mr. Grau leads UDT's IT strategy and technological innovation initiatives. His client-side experience is critical in ensuring that the company maintains client needs at the core of all products, services, and development initiatives.
Mr. Grau holds bachelor and master degrees in information technology from American Intercontinental University, as well as an MBA from the Keller Graduate School of Management. He has served as president and member of the board of trustees at iCoast CIO Council for the past five years and is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
Vice President of Public Sector
Tony Cossio is Vice President of Public Sector at United Data Technologies Inc. (UDT), Mr. Cossio began his career at Hewlett-Packard, where he served as regional manager for 26 years, overseeing all public sector sales in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, and the Carolinas.
Since joining UDT in 2010, Mr. Cossio has been tasked with overseeing all of the company’s public sector sales and government accounts. Delivering dependable solutions and superior value to public sector clients is key to the company’s success and future growth. Mr. Cossio is a seasoned expert, familiar with the nuances and needs of this market, and instrumental to managing and growing the public sector core business.
Mr. Cossio holds bachelor and graduate degrees in business administration and marketing management from Florida International University.
Executive Vice President
Jesus Peña is Executive Vice President of Sales at United Data Technologies Inc. (UDT), Mr. Peña joined UDT in 2011 after more than 20 years in the IT industry, working for companies like Cisco and Dimension Data. He is responsible for driving the company’s growth strategy for services and solutions, as well as customer satisfaction.
He began his tenure at the company as Florida Director of Sales and quickly rose among the ranks due to his deep understanding of data centers, unified communications, virtualization, managed services and, in particular, Cisco technologies.
Mr. Peña's entrepreneurial spirit and leadership skills make him the ultimate team player and a key contributor to company’s senior leadership team, from strategy to field operations. In addition, Mr. Peña plays a key role in coaching and mentoring the firm’s sales team.
Vice President of Sales and Professional Services
Justin Jimenez is Vice President of Sales and Professional Services for United Data Technologies Inc. (UDT). A key contributor to the company's growth, he is responsible for commercial sales and professional services as well as for the recruitment and retention of highly qualified IT sales and engineering professionals.
Jimenez provides UDT and its customers with more than 20 years of experience in the IT industry including strategic positions with companies such as EMC, Sun Microsystems, Softworks and Storage Tek, among others.
His specialties include building elite sales and engineering teams, storage infrastructures, server architecture, backup, disaster recovery and business continuity systems as well as data center planning.
Jimenez studied Mechanical Engineering/Computer Science at the University of Connecticut and resides in the Tampa/St. Petersburg area where he is an active supporter of local youth sports.
